From Selection to Bottling
With something for everyone, including the pickiest wine aficionado, the Wine Room has an impressive selection of wines available for hand crafting. And now, with the space and flexibility to grow, The Wine Room is offering clients a more intimate experience with the opportunity to customize their wines with flavourful extras like vanilla bean, black pepper, dried fruit and oak.
The Process
1 Choose a Wine
You decide on a wine (this is probably the hardest part!) We offer a wide variety of red, white and fruity wines to suit all tastes and budgets.
2 Kit, Water & Yeast
The kit is emptied into a vat, water is added, and you sprinkle in the yeast to start the fermentation process. The wine is then left for 2-3 weeks.
3 Stabilize the Wine
After being transferred to a carboy, the wine is stabilized and left to sit for another few weeks. More expensive wines made with juice (as opposed to concentrate) typically take longer to ferment.
4 Bottle & Cork
When the wine is ready, we hook a pump up to the carboy and you bottle and cork the finished product. A typical batch of wine yields 30 bottles, each 750 ml.
